Striding out

A lovely spring day to walk up Carrock Fell, but shame about the strong winds against us.  Great walk over to High Pike, then an amble in the sun on the way down whilst looking at rocks, admiring all those colours and strange forms.
In the evening we went to hear the Urban Folk Quartet at Threlkeld village hall.  They were amazing, I hadn't realised they are internationally known for their playing - two fiddles, one guitar/banjo and one percussionist who was quite mesmeric playing the cahon.
