Portmore

It was a misty morning so we decided to head inland in search of some sunshine and some warmer weather. We drove to Portmore Loch, south of Edinburgh and had a lovely wander round the reservoir with a stop to eat our sandwiches en plein air. The birds were singing, I spotted my first coltsfoot flowers of the year and the toads were definitely feeling rather frisky and full of the joys of spring.
