The town has had a muffled feeling about it today, as if there has been snow fall..  The wind has stopped and, inevitably, the rain has followed.  The great fallen tree has blocked the entrance into the town and our street is closed to traffic.  People are still heading to the Oak to pay their respects.  A choir gathered at 11.30 this morning and sang it songs.  The cats have taken to the sofa.
