I’m still working away at my Japanese at lunchtimes, although whether I’m making any progress is anyone’s guess! Adam has said to me that when he first moved to Japan after having taken Japanese lessons in the UK, it felt as though everyone was speaking a different language to the one he’d learnt because how people actually speak is not the formal language that he’d learnt!
