Sleeping Beauty

Spence and Joti both woke up a couple of times last night. Spence got into my bed at about 2am saying he couldn't get to sleep, then I carried him back to his bed fast asleep half an hour later when I got woken up again by Joti!

Joti fed at 2.30, 5.15 and then was awake at 6 so I brought her in to my bed where she fell asleep again! Spence woke up at 6.30 and came in wanting to have a shower and Joti didn't wake up again until 7.15 after we both had showered and had a conversation right beside her!!

I had Leo and Joti today until about 1pm. They had a good day together! We all walked to the park (which is only two houses away) and they had a great time playing there for over an hour! Joti had a sleep when Leo left and I had to wake her up to go to school to get Spence!

We met Fleur, Teddy and Leo at the park after school for a play and then Spence and I had a hair cut. We didn't get home until nearly 6 but we had a quick tea then bath then the kids were in bed just after 7!

Joti is now 16 months old and saying new words almost every day! She now says mum, narna (banana), tarna (sultana), sheese (cheese), ball, bick (biscuit), baa (sheep), makes a pig noise, opens and closes her mouth for fish as well as sucking in her cheeks, more, no (and shakes her head at the same time), she also answers questions with just a shake of the head. She is still very cheeky and cute!

She loves drawing and holds the pencil surprisingly well! When Spence is writing his words, she has to have a chair at the coffee table too and have a pencil and piece of paper! She likes to draw on other things though as well like the table, Spencer's book, her own hand, her own foot...

She loves water - the bath, puddles, taps, anything! She goes to sleep really well now at night, we are in s better routine where I don't have to feed her to sleep! I just put her in her bed and say good night then walk out! She is usually asleep within a minute! In the night if she wakes up before 5, we ignore her and she puts herself back to sleep then after 5 I will feed her then she sleeps again until just after 6 when it's starting to get light so she comes into our bed then.

I am still feeding but am going to try and cut down the day feeds then stop altogether! It's easier said than done though!

Kaz is staying at the reno house again tonight and is hoping to have it all done by tomorrow afternoon! People are coming in the morning to put hired furniture in it to stage it to sell. The tiler is coming to tile the kitchen and ensuite splashbacks, then two agents are coming in the afternoon to have a look and Kaz will choose one from there to sell it!We might go over on Sunday to take the last photos and for me and the kids to see the finished product! It will be such a relief when it's all done!
