This is the scene outside the factory on SUNDAY when everyone and everything in Mzuzu is locked down tight . Yet Harisen can get a fed phonecalls and it's all systems go.
Like all of our staff its just where and when and they are ON IT. We are truly blessed with our family in Malawi.
Of course it was a special occasion: Andrew (centre), who is a fourth Year Medical Student who returned to do a month's placement. But four years ago Andrew spent two weeks digging foundations on this same factory, and hauling bricks by hand. Slavery really, but not as we know it. In our position this is what we hoped for: that our volunteers might remember, return, volunteer again and get a chance to once again make their mark.
Sally is a bush nurse all the way from Australia and having heard the stories, felt that she had to come.

We had a good time with Andrew,Gary and Sally today.
We went to the factory and Andrew was very excited to visit the
factory, he was there about 4 years ago with the Blackrock College volunteers when he
helped collecting bricks for the construction of the factory at
foundation stage.
We also went to the farm. It was all amazing.
Regards.

Hi John,
I just wanted to say a big thanks, I have had a lovely stay & the people here have been outstanding! !!
Harisen is lovely as all of them, and made me feel very welcome!
Was great to see first hand all the hard work being done!
Went out with William & Steve in the morning and finalized 2 wells, the chiefs were so very thankful! Took lots of pictures for William, so you can see their good work, hehehe?!
Also had a great afternoon with the ladies English class, all done so well!
Alepha stayed with me last night and we had great chats! She is a true inspiration :-)
Visit was way to short, but would love to come back some time & stay for longer!
All the best, hope France is treating you well! !
