Well, that was fun. I mean, we lost, but the team gave 100% and played well most of the time. 1- 4 is no disgrace against a team with Aberdeen's quality.

Part of the fun for me was being back at a ground I used to visit occasionally when rugby commitments allowed. Another part of the fun was watching two clubs my dad played for.

After a very early breakfast I tried out the Hazlehead Parkrun. It was a beautiful morning for it, and the course is lovely - through the woods which surround Hazlehead Golf Club (Extra).

The last time I was in that part of the city was for a funeral. The crematorium is close by. One of my best friends going back to when we were about 7 or 8 years old. I was his best man. He was mine.

In a strange quirk of fate, when I ran the other Aberdeen Parkrun last year it was his daughter who gave the first timers' briefing.

Anyway... home now after another quick and comfortable and on-time bus journey with Citylink.
