Army jeep

An American WW2 jeep at the Widde Meuln windmill. It was there because of the filming of a documentary around the theme of 80 years of freedom. This is about the Canadians by the way, as they were the leading force in the liberation of the northern part of the Netherlands.

As a personal note I’m adding that it seems that nowadays, not many people seem to have learned from history as we seem to be making the same mistakes that were made some 90 years ago. I’m hoping but not entirely confident the next ten years will not be a repeat of what happened back then…
