International Women's Day

Tony was Run Director at Parkrun this morning and we had a lovely event in the sunshine.  Back home I made a start on my photographs before lunch.

After lunch J and I took a tour of the Drying Ground and she was amazed at how it has changed over the years since, as a schoolgirl, she would take her book up there to read in a quiet, pretty spot.  She then went off to pick up friend S for her birthday fun and we set about working on the ground until neighbour J arrived with his chainsaw to take out the dead ash tree which is barring the gateway.  Before J came, several neighbours turned out to work in the sunshine and that's when the women's crew were blipped!

The tree was brought down, most neighbours dispersed to their Saturdays and Tony and B worked on for a bit longer.  I returned to my Parkrun photos and uploaded my Drying Ground photos to our site.
