Sparrows In The Park

It was a perfect day for a local walk in the ever popular Jeskyns Community Woodland (formerly known as Jeskyns Country Park). Before setting off on a circular walk, we had a cappuccino at the café, watched hopefully by the sparrows.

We spent a leisurely few hours thoroughly exhausting Jak, avoiding the dog pond where he would have caused havoc stealing the tennis balls from all the dogs. 

What is it with us and our dogs? Our much missed golden retriever was  a nightmare at the same pond. She would not only steal every ball, but would dive so spectacularly into the water that all dogs, balls, ducks, fish and water would be propelled into the sky never to be seen again. At least Jak only paddles delicately at the edges....
