It's not dark in the mornings now...
I'd paused here, on the walk to work, to watch the traffic for a moment or so. And to breath. This calm scene belies the reality I'd just been shouted at by a couple of drivers for crossing the road (my green, their red both times) and had had two e-scooters cut me up at the dropped kerbs at both sets of the crossing here. It's not unusual here, alas, it's the intersection of two busy roads, an intersection of bus routes, and regular backing up of traffic on all approaches to the roundabout at busy times.
Still, it was a very lovely morning, otherwise, for the walk to work, it was a very good day at main work, with excellent Functional Skills exam results from the January sitting.
Less good was the information my Grade 5 piano student's exam was not, as she'd told me, at the end of March, but next week. (For logistical reasons, both my piano students are entered via their school who have enough entries for an examiner to do a day visit.) Still, she's gone in for previous exams with me less than convinced than she was that she was ready, but with me not wanting to drag it out any more, and she's always pulled it off.
