The Golden Trumpets of Spring

I went with a friend, in her car, to visit the well-known Daffodil woods in a place called Eclépens, just under 30 minutes from Lausanne.

What a wonderful sight of wild daffodils growing as far as the eye could see, both in the woods and in an adjoining field. We also saw masses of bright blue Scilla flowers and tiny, wild, purple anemone.

What a wonderful walk in perfect weather conditions and temperatures around 14C at the warmest part of the day.

Next week's forecast is going to be mixed: sunny with rain showers, so I'm so glad to have done several gorgeous outings this week.
