Helicopter Millinery

This evening I went down to RAF Northolt for one of the bi annual nightshoots. They had a variety of visiting aircraft for the evening, mainly thanks to the French air and space force. This little, vintage Bell helicopter was a different thing from the usualy millitary aircraft, and was finished off by the owner / pilot donning his morning suit, including top hat to start and run up the helicopter. Plenty of jokes up and down the photo line about 'does he have a hi viz with tails' or 'has he sent the staff to start the helicopter', or will they be handing canapés around shortly?'. It certainly made the night memorable.
