The Trinacria party

The Trinacria is at the center of the flag of Sicily. I have been to Sicily twice and loved it. I bought this Trinacria in Taormina and I chose it because it was different from all the others. A little more artsy and less mass-produced looking.
It always amazes me how you can travel around the world, make a purchase, pack it up in enough bubble wrap to cover your car and carry it back to your home as if you picked it up at a local shop. I have many things like this in my house and each time I look at one, it brings back the memory of the time and place I got it.
So while looking at my Trinacria I came up with an idea.
I always thought it would be nice to have a real eclectic room, a fun room with a bar and a giant TV that I could play music DVD’s on and the entire room would be covered in all the treasures I have collected. Like my very own pub! It would be so much fun to have people over and hang out while watching a Led Zeppelin concert DVD on the big screen while having our favorite brew. Well, I have to music, I can get the beer/wine but I would have to wait for one of my kids to move out to have the room.
I have hinted about it. I do not think they take me seriously. Maybe within a year we will get luck. Who knows? So when I get this thing actually up and running, I will have a Blip meet for all of you to come visit me and have some fun. We can blow up air mattresses up all over and I have three bathrooms so we can manage with that. You can bring your favorite-recorded concert to play on the big screen. I know Roz will bring Joe Bonamassa !! We can all take a trip into NYC and visit my cousin PAM another fellow Blipper. It would be a blast would it not?
By the way, this Trinacria, the (winged) head of Medusa and three wheat ears. The three bent legs allegedly represent the three points of the triangular shape of the island of Sicily itself.
