Abstract Expression

This morning I was reading in this month's National Geographic magazine about the vanishing beauty of Brazil's Cerrado. The Cerrado is an area of savanna, grassland and forests at the edge of the Amazon rainforest. There was a map showing how the fauna and flora of this once closed and ignored area is rapidly being destroyed by deforestation, commercial farming and development. I wasn't conscious when I took my blip photo this afternoon of the connection. The photo was taken looking down into a tumbler of water standing on a kitchen worktop protector.
