Built to Last
Another notable granite structure has been put up for sale on Union Street. Formerly a branch of the Royal Bank of Scotland, it is situated close to the main branch of Marks & Spencer, which is scheduled to close within the next month or so.
The closure of House of Fraser, Debenhams, John Lewis, Esslemont & Macintosh, and soon Marks & Spencer, all of which were previously situated in close proximity to each other, have left this section of Union Street with a significant void. and several large buildings will now be empty.
I have taken the liberty of removing the road works which obscure much of this view of the front of the buildings.
