Maps

Whilst rummaging through my huge collection of maps all bought for travels across the UK especially Scotland,  on bike, on foot, on mountains and on islands I have blipped some of my favourites.
I have singled out in main photo with the help of an Advertising Card the map makers Bartholomew's of Edinburgh who produced the half inch to the mile series in the 1930s and revised them each decade after....the layer shading being outstanding especially well illustrating the hills and mountains of northern and western Britain.
Extra is a selection of other types and scales of maps bought when visiting the various areas on holiday.
Of course more should have been bought at times but money was needed for food for family and fuel for wee Volks campervan
