Twine
Having been using this basket for well over 30 years (possibly well over 40) I’ve only today realised that the scruffy bit of twine was probably there to hold the basket and lid together in the shop. I’ve now removed the bit of twine which has more than outlived its intended purpose.
Feel free to judge me…
