Graham Thomas . . .
……………………………………. blooming happily outside a neighbour’s.
It’s been a day of coping with the fallout from an accident, from a Covid vaccination, and cancer - none of it mine.
Plus Cyclone Alfred in Australia.
A friend had a serious altercation with a truck yesterday afternoon and has a broken foot, the other one may be broken too, a cracked sternum and a crack in her femur.
She was remarkably positive about it all when I visited her in hospital today. I think that lots of ongoing support will be needed.
Another friend, a fit & healthy athletic type, has reacted to a recent Covid vaccination with pericarditis. He’s wondering what’s struck him.
The third friend, in her mid 80s, has cancer, and has decided that she doesn’t want any treatment at all.
Life can throw some really challenging curve balls at us, can’t it. I’m thinking about my friend in northern New South Wales, battening down her hatches and getting everything she can into shelter from Cyclone Alfred. She sounded very positive last night and thinks she’ll be okay. I’ll phone her again tomorrow night!
