Sea View Hall

This is where I'm staying! it's the home of kind friends of my sister Kristie and where she's been house-sitting the past couple months while looking for her own place. It's one of three remaining log houses in Alki, with rounded logs set vertically rather than horizontally, and is a kind of fancy-rustic log craftsman, if that might be a valid combination. The camelia outside is in full pink bloom.

After a brisk walk this morning down to the shore, where the Olympic Mountains greeted us from across the Sound, we did quite a lot of kitchen packing back at K's old apartment. Lots of details are falling into place for the closing next week (whether it happens on Monday remains to be seen). Now turning in for the night, fairly exhausted!
