Locked in awaiting for cyclone "Alfred"

Still waiting for the slow moving cyclone to hit somewhere near us (probably slightly to the south??). Went down the beach this morning to see it packed with surfers as the winds have turned offshore (westerly) and the swell dropped a little. As I was preparing this Blip, the television reporting on the cylcone stressed that now it's time to finish preparing for it and is NOT the time to go for a SURF. Someone forgot to tell the scores of surfers and photographers out the front of home :-)) The Extra shows the damage to the beach already at low tide and the dark sky to the south. Some trees washed away and sand cliffs developing. It will get much worse in the next 24 hours when the cyclone hits.....
