The Raven

I met up with a friend this evening for dinner at The Raven Inn. The pub had been subject to proposals from the owners for demolition and redevelopment, which generated a lot of community concern and more importantly action. Long story short, local people got together, put their money where their mouths were, bought the pub at auction and began restoration in 2022. It’s now owned by 180 local shareholders, and is a real success.

I thought these flue pipes looked abstractedly sculptural.
