Blue sky moon

When I was filling the bird feeders at lunchtime today, I spotted the moon, high in the blue sky, so got out the Nikon.  I checked the sky again just before 9 pm, and there was a good view of the moon, through some fast moving thin clouds.  I was pleased to see the comparison between the two images.  The moon is 52% illuminated - the first quarter.
