Plasma donation #1
Started work before 8 so I could finish in time to get to the plasma donation centre. For your first donation you have to have an appointment at least 2 hours before they close.
Ploughed through work this morning and got some things out of the way. Walked down to recycle some plastic at the local Aldi litter picking on the way. At least I got a lunchtime walk.
Cycled down to the donation centre via the river and canal. Struggled to find somewhere to chain up my bike but still got there in good time.
Everything went fine with the donation. My veins were pronounced perfect and bouncy. I was able to give the full 560 mls, the maximum for my height and weight.
I did sit down at the end for a coffee and small cup cake. The staff were celebrating the news that the first homegrown plasma is now being used to treat NHS patients

It was all very easy and I have already booked to do it again towards the end of the month.
