Mr Willie Wonka....

Noah is a massive fan of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. So for World Book Day (today) he has gone to school dressed as Mr Willie Wonka. He was 1 very excited boy this morning. My day has been much more mundane: taken neighbour's dogs to the vet. Taken Layla and me for a walk 11,714 steps so far. In the sun. That was good. Cleared up the plant mess - phew. That was discouraging. but done. And had a 2 hour conversation with financial people who essentially won't talk to me about a bond that was set up in 2004 and transferred to me in 2023, except for the bit that is 2023+. I just have to "take our word for it" that their calculations are correct. Which is deeply unsatisfactory but I don't think I have the stomach for taking it further (which is presumably what they are counting on.) It's lucky that this sort of thing is balanced out by the pleasure that my lovely grandchildren bring me.
