Tactile graphics

Now I've got the hang of doing this, one of my favourite jobs is creating tactile graphics for our visually impaired students. This is the machine in action!

Mind you, I do march off to the photocopier muttering, "Move the microwave, side tray, shiny side up" and when I've returned with the copy on the special paper for it to go through this machine I keep muttering "Shiny side down" as I'm doing it. 

This is definitely one of those tasks where preparing it well is more than worth the effort though I nearly lost all patience with the many shapes I was drawing round on this particular worksheet to enhance the lines. 

The main paper copy was then used for the students with low vision who appreciated the extra clear lines.
