Sketchy Times

I was fortunate that a little bit of light slipped under the cloud cover to illuminate my foreground and give a golden colour to the reeds beyond. Nice to see some texture in the sky, which was darkish and added to the lighting effect.

Stepping out on the ice was even more sketchy than the other day, with pools of water either side and even a little melting ice where I walked.

I shot this at 18mm for a different perspective than the ultra wide lens of late.

Overhead, blackbirds were evident with their familiar call. Another sign of spring around the corner.
