Side by side

Had to nip up the High Street earlier. 

Not for the first time, it struck me that this is quite an elegant semi-detached. 

And not for the first time, I wondered what the reason is for the "historic building" plaque between the doors. 

I suppose it's not impossible that I'll find out one day.
