Chase me, Chase me!!

This frenetic activity seemed to be part of the complex courtship ritual of a couple of Great Crested Grebes at Codnor, Derbyshire this morning.
The pair were seemingly engrossed in the "staring into each others' eyes" and "dancing" routine when this bird about turned and raced away like the proverbial bat out of!! It didn't seem to be seeing off a rival so I can only assume it was just playing a little hard to get!
