Concrete on the South Bank
There’s an awful lot of concrete on the South Bank courtesy of the 1960s complex of arts buildings designed by a group of then radical architects who worked for the London County Council. The complex comprises the Hayward Gallery, the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Purcell Room. The most prominent building, however, is the National Theatre shown in the main photo. In extras:
1. closer view of the National Theatre
2-4. various aspects of the Hayward Gallery.
