Field trip

Spent this afternoon in some fields near York looking at different potato varieties - I'm not sure how geeky this makes me sound but I really enjoyed it. I find this part of my job absolutely fascinating so don't make the mistake of asking me about potatoes else I'll bore you for hours!

The weather wasn't at good as at the last potato fields I visited in Wisconsin but at least there were no biting flies in Yorkshire. I borrowed these wellies from a friend and rocked them with skinny jeans, black T-shirt and a floral blazer. It looked kinda different to the guys in their jeans and polo shirts but I think it worked.

Popped to see my bro and his family on the way home. Spent some time catching up with my nephews then went with bro to his running club. He had 'forgotten' to tell me it was fitness test night - it was hard. Mile or so warm up run then 8 sets of hardcore exercises to do as many as you could in a minute followed by some sprint relays then a mile cool down. Hard but fun. Made me want to join a running club myself.

Busy day - tired now.
