Littlebourne
This evening we were invited to attend a friend* raising garden party at this historic home that has been under renovation for the past 5 years. It was built by early residents of the city and it one of the oldest homes in the area. Over the years it has been altered, now heading to be a 10 bedroom accommodation venue and it was amazing. The part on the left is original and the right is a new wing where we gathered after a tour. It’s listed with The National Trust. The event was for supporters of our local candidate. She was there and we had a nice catch up along with others who are working on the campaign. One lady flew up from Melbourne and others were from towns around the electorate.
We are keeping an eye on the cyclone heading for the built up area in lower Queensland and northern NSW. It is a long way from here but we are expecting rain from it in a few days time. Cyclones don’t usually come that far south. I spent the morning emptying the rainwater tanks, the garden is dry so I didn’t mind using it up as I am sure they will be full again by next week.
*not a typo, that is what it was called. They did ask for money too.
