Coffee, Croissants and Boilers

I treated myself to coffee and mini croissants (chocolate dipped and lemon pie) at Manolo’s on Calle Berlin, when I went out for fresh air and to stretch my legs. Apart from this, there was some Tokyo Teens marking, some normal marking and a huge email clear out and tidy up.

We had to call the gas company out at the end of the day when our heating wasn’t coming on (meaning no hot water either). Thankfully, they were out within an hour and managed to repair it. We hope this will keep it going for a bit longer as it’ll be a very expensive replacement/upgrade when it packs in. We’ve had it..a while. Sadly, the one in our Edinburgh flat seems to be in a similar sad state of repair, if the report by the gas company there is to be believed. When Bb mentioned to the Barcelona gas man what the problem was in Edinburgh, he said that problem could be repaired for €80. Perhaps we should offer to fly him across! In the meantime, we’re talking sweetly to both boilers.
