This used to be a pub…..

Today I had lots of paperwork to do but then decided to walk to the new Sainsburys Local nearby as it was quite warm and very sunny.
When we moved to the area it was a lovely pub - The Rose and Crown..it even had a lovely little theatre upstairs. When it closed it then became a very nice  noodle restaurant. For the last 5 or 6 years it has been an expensive ‘ painted furniture shop’ and now a Sainsburys local. There was quite a bit of local opposition. I’m not sure it’s necessary as Kingston is so near and there is no parking. I’m worried that the very nice newsagents nearby, run by a very helpful family, near the station will be affected.

Collected the grandchildren while their parents went to see their teachers for parents evening…both had excellent reports which is so good to hear. We then all had pancakes..my daughter had made the batter before she went to work this morning- very organised.
