Water Power
This is the last and lowest section of the Cobbosseecontee Stream that flows into the Kennebec River in Gardiner, Maine. The stream has an open swift current all winter long attracting various birds, ducks and geese. At the furthest point you can see the river is ice and snow covered • In the 1700’s there were 8 dams in this final mile stretch of the stream that powered paper and grist mills. Today three dams are in operation working together to ensure the safe passage of fish into the river, then eventually out to the Atlantic • Rain is on the way tomorrow and Thursday. Hopefully it will wash away some snow and ice :) • Peace & Love
