Calgary walk
What an enjoyable walk Bertie and I had at Calgary in the morning. I stopped frequently to watch and photograph the waves crashing onto the rocks and rolling onto the beach (extra). Bertie didn’t mind because he was busy snuffling so many new smells that had developed since we were last here. Another development was the amount of frog spawn. Every puddle along the track was filled to overflowing with it! After walking to the pier and back we had a wander along the beach, deserted apart from oyster catchers and gulls, then up onto the machair. It was on the gatepost that I encountered the colourful “creature” that is the subject of my main.
Although the day was grey with thick cloud, it stayed dry and I was able to make more progress with the garden in the afternoon.
