contrail lovers' delight

Today was the welcome session of the SpaceMed Master programme I am going to teach digital literacy on. The programme leader was very enthusiastic. For the first time on such an occasion there was also a political dimension: welcome to Europe, we want to cooperate. It was nice to meet the students. Out of 360 international applicants 12 were selected. Their programme is quite exciting. Apart from lectures it also includes visits to astronaut training facilities, marine survival training (they will be certified) and one of their experiments will run in a climate cell which can produce 250km/h winds, extreme temperatures and reduced oxygen. I don't think I'll get around to join some of their lectures this year since I still need to sort out my sessions. Maybe I'll manage next year.
