Our first daffodils popped open during the weekend. Daffodils here carry a double meaning for me. First, obviously, is the coming of spring, a welcome sign. And for an old basketball coach, like the colorful maple leaves in November signaling the start of the season (as I blip every year), daffodils signal the end of the season, a most welcome sign for this road weary old coach.
