Fair exchange

Someone on our staff Yammer group had asked for succulent cuttings after having to leave his plant collection in New Zealand.  I have a few mitred aloe babies so I offered them to him.  We met at lunchtime today for the hand over.  He was lovely and presented me with a crocheted coaster in exchange for the plants.  What a lovely gesture. He also took a bag full of spider plant cuttings which I'm very happy to hand on as I have about a million and one of them. 
I've invited him to join our lunchtime crochet group so I might get some updates on how the plants are doing too. 
When I got home T was sitting in the stairs waiting for me.  He'd just been offered the job he interviewed for on Thursday and was very happy. I'm so pleased that he's got a permanent grade lift and the new role should be interesting. 
Had a phone call with B about the very annoying tenant. We've agreed to let him terminate the tenancy early and we'll start the process of selling mum's house.  It will be a huge relief for me.
