Looking eastwards from the front doorstep...

... we can see Jupiter, the Moon, and Venus
Saturn has already set, shortly after the sun went down. Neptune and Mercury are hidden behind the tree to the right of Venus and I don't think they can be seen with the naked eye anyway. In a similar way Uranus is between Jupiter and the moon (apparently close to Jupiter) but is too faint to be seen.
Just below Jupiter is Aldebaran, one of the brightest stars in the sky.
Mars can easily be seen in the sky, further back along the planetary track but doesn't fit on this image.
So, for a few minutes, all 7 of the other planets were above the horizon, though Saturn was very close to the sun.
This was my first (and only) venture out of the house today and I slept 3 hours this afternoon. But I do feel slightly better than previously. I am reading a fair bit of slightly brainless literature during this lurgy period!
The extra picture is similar to the main but gets the gable end of Betty's to add a touch of cosiness.
