I finally managed to get a decent picture of these "invaders" on my parents nuts.... In Croydon!

Apparently there are flocks of green parakeets living (and breeding) in this area, presumably from escaped captive parrots rather than migration! They are a wonderful sight though I'm not sure if/ how they threaten the native birds.

We are here for the night en-masse as we are flying from Gatwick Airport to Turkey tomorrow.

Bring on the tropics......!
