Woof woof
I couldn’t not blip Rory from next door on his lunchtime walk.
He’s such a lovely schnauzer (well he is to me, which is what matters), even if he doesn’t like the company of posties, bicycles, kids, many other dogs (especially Del Boy, the lab from up the road)…
The term schnauzer comes from the German word for "snout" and means colloquially ‘moustache’ or "whiskered snout", because of the dog's distinctively bearded snout. Initially it was called Wire-Haired Pinscher, while Schnauzer was adopted in 1879.
The breed is of above average intelligence and can be independent minded, so early training and diverse daily exercise are recommended. Based on Stanley Corey’s book The Intelligence of Dogs (2006).
Rory may be intelligent, but he can be easily bribed with carrots cooked in an OXO cube (Chicken or Beef), I have discovered,
Hope you’re having a good Monday.
