And a Terrible Wind Shall Blow
A bit of back blipping is in order I believe. I’m not sure I will keep up my old somewhat sporadic posts but here we are.
Storm Eowyn hit Edinburgh on the weekend of January 24th and with wind speed of nearly 90mph brought down the tallest tree (29m) in the Botanic Garden in Edinburgh which was planted back in 1858. Subsequent investigation revealed that there was an internal failing in tree about which no-one knew about.
In cheerier news the extra is the first rhododendron to flower in the Gardens this year, it was fairly well sheltered from the wind, see the extra.
