Star, That's What They Call You
Another vile day of weather again but we still managed to get our for an early damp, and it must be said, quite unpleasant run which was followed by the usual Sunday food shop and ,via a rather long detour as both the nearest bridges over the River Medway were closed, our customary pint at The Horseshoes.
I was intending to make a rather exotic sounding pistachio 'love' cake but the supermarket didn't have one vital ingredient and my mood wasn't improved later in the afternoon by my team (Liverpool) being knocked out of the FA Cup in the fourth round by bottom of the Championship Plymouth. Watching the highlights did confirm they were the better team and they did deserve to go through but it didn't lessen the blow - we do still have the Premier League and Champions League to aim for so we can still have a fantastic season.
I'd left getting an image until late in the day and it was only when I came across this little illuminated star on one of our upstairs windowsills that I though I'd managed to get a shot I was remotely happy with.
The title came to mind just a few seconds after it'd taken my image, a lyric from the wonderful Kiki Dee song Star - which of course I've just had to tag below.
