I met the Serious Bushwalker for a visit to the Micro:Macro exhibition of architectural, scientific, medical, engineering and art models at Chau Chuk Wing. We were both taken by the anatomical models, dating from the 1820s, beautifully made of papier-mâché and able to be disassembled and reassembled, unlike cadavers. For some reason the female model was half the price of the male, although he wasn’t full-size.
