Went to the farm shop & left laden with this magnificent haul. All relatively local & excellent value.
It annoys the hell out of me that, in the supermarket we go to, each cabbage or Cauli is nestled in its own plastic pouch. There is absolutely no need for it.
At the farm shop I pick up how many of each thing I want, throw them in a paper bag if I need to, then amble to the till.
I am strong believer that these traditional outlets should be cherished & supported as a better alternative to the big box outlets.
Anyway, very tasty it was too.
