Its the Way It Is

Beeswax candle

The last of my stash from Christmas.

I had a lovely swim today.
Walk along the promenade.
Delicious coffee and a toastie.

And then Poetry in The Park (first Sunday of the month in the People’s Park in Bray just as the 12 noon Angelus Bells ring out from up the town). I love it.

I read a poem by Pat Ingoldsby (I Can Feel the Peace of It) see

https://www.patingoldsby.org/poems.html

If you google him, you will see he had a hard life and mental health issues. But his poetry is from the heart and he bowed to no one. He died yesterday and he left a note that his eulogy would be as follows
(warning it’s well, you know)….

and on the second round, I read a beautiful poem shared by blipper Andrew Burns today By Alan Jenkins about the comfort of old friends, dining together and enjoying the beauty of nature. It was very well received. Thank you Andrew.

And then Liz asked me to go and view a car she was thinking of buying. She needed moral support and she told me to act as though I knew about cars. I can’t even begin to explain how comical it was. (I’m too tired to type it out).

So I’m home now and just enjoyed my tuna fish cakes (easy and delicious) and will enjoy a sit down eagerly awaiting Anjelika Hueston at 9 on the BBC.

“Just another room, another town”…,

Love this song
