Life through a lens

Centenary Stone

This morning, I headed to Keswick. I'd been to a concert yesterday evening and somehow found myself at the front and now have ringing ears and everything sounds too loud. Even the geese honking were too loud. The Centenary Stone at Derwent Water was commissioned in 1995 to celebrate the founding of the National Trust. They used a large boulder from the Borrowdale Volcanic valley, and it was then sawn in half with each face then carved into 10 fan shaped segments and then 10 wiggle shapes.
