Floo-ers

A trip to the allotment, managing to do a bit more digging, sowing some seeds, and feeding the ravening hordes. Sowed another small patch of broad beans (heritage seeds, variety Bonny Lad). The first ones I sowed back in Nov have been decimated by something, I suspect someone who eats stems/roots from beneath. Cutworms, leatherjackets? Dunno, there's no end to the little chompers.

Was pleased to see my old friend the spotted catsear sprouting again in its usual spot by the wall on Prospect Bank - the council had done a pretty thorough job on hoeing the weeds, but the dandelions always spring up again along with the wonderfully persistent catsear.
