Looking Up, Or Looking Down?

This afternoon I walked up to Flounder's Folly.
A pleasant but steep and slippery scramble up to this fine old tower on the summit of Callow Hill.

It offers wonderful 360 degree views of Shropshire, Herefordshire, Wales and Wolverhampton.

But you have to climb a narrow stairway up to the top and walk around a narrow viewing platform.

Which I did, and despite my fear of heights enjoyed it.

The sky was a fabulous blue, the sun was warm, and everything was well with the world.

( well, almost everything...)
